Step 11. Correcting errors on the site pages

The presence of errors can have a negative impact on the indexing of a web resource and its promotion, and also reduce the metrics of behavioral indicators. When optimizing a website internally, many factors should be taken into account, but we will consider the most common ones.
Duplicate pages
This is one of the most common problems. Duplicating slovenia mobile phone numbers database web pages can be done either by an incorrectly configured CMS, or by you yourself by mistake. You can find out if there are duplicate pages on your site if you are doing internal site optimization as follows:
1) look at this in the webmaster panel on the registered site:
Google: select the site → “Google Index” → “Indexing Status”;
Yandex: “My sites” → select your site → “Site structure” → compare the “pages loaded” and “pages in search” indicators.
2) check it using a search engine operator (enter your domain):
site:your-sajt.com — general index;
site:your-sajt.com/& — search index.
When the number of indexed URLs of pages corresponds to their real number, there is no need to worry. When performing internal optimization and promotion of the site, take this factor into account.
However, if there are duplicate pages, then "robots.txt" (prohibition on scanning URLs with specified parameters) will help you deal with them, or you can specify the canonical address of the page ("rel=canonical" tag). You can learn more about this from search engine help if you set yourself the goal of correctly performing internal optimization of the site.
Duplicates and non-unique content
It happens that a novice webmaster can borrow information from competitors or from his own pages to fill the site with something, and by doing so he lowers the reputation of his resource. This problem has an obvious solution. When internally optimizing a site, analyze all pages of the site and rewrite the texts so that the uniqueness becomes 100% or is close to this indicator.
Broken links
Broken links can appear if you manually write them by editing the HTML code. They disrupt the internal optimization of the site. Where do they come from?
Let's say you publish a new article with links in it. Then, for some reason, you change the URL names of some pages or delete them (we do NOT recommend doing this at all), but you did not change the links in the text itself - you forgot about them. As a result, they turn out to be broken, i.e. leading to nowhere.
It is necessary to maintain internal optimization of the site. If you change the addresses of pages, then set up 301 redirects for each of them.
To make your interlinking in order again, write the addresses again. You can do it manually if there are several broken links, and if there are many, then use the free software Xenu or audit.megaindex.ru for internal optimization of the site.
