Many pages on the site had the same metadata - page titles and meta descriptions.
Problem with URL generation - pages with the same content were available at different addresses.
When moving the site, the page addresses changed, but redirects from the old addresses to the new ones were not set up.
There were no robots.txt and sitemap.xml files to control site indexing.
There were complete technical duplicates of the site that were not closed by the developers. These duplicates remained after the development of test pages.
There were partial duplicates of the site. The customer has 3 areas of work. A separate site for each. The content and contact information are 80% similar.
There were usability issues. For example, there was no contact information in the header or footer of the site.
Basically, the previous contractor didn't do the basic things. Without them, the move can't be considered complete.

The customer expected to receive an increase in traffic and conversions due to the website update. Instead, due to errors during the move, he received a drop in traffic and applications.

From May to June 2021, traffic from search engines of the ophthalmology clinic noticeably dropped and continued to fall
We were given the task: to increase traffic and the number of requests from search engines

Non-standard Bitrix made us sweat
Difficulties arose already at the start. The developer "strongly" modified the site administration system - Bitrix. As a result, the system did not function as standard Bitrix, but in a tricky way.

To understand the original "rework", we found a way to the developers and contacted them. But we did not receive any feedback. The web studio simply ignored our questions.

As a result:

We were unable to set up automatic generation of unique values for the title and description meta tags, so we had to enter the metadata manually.
We managed to rid the site of duplicate pages in bc data thailand phone number sections. But we worked mainly on eliminating the consequences of the duplicates, not the cause. We spent 3 times more working hours on this than usual.
The customer's company had Bitrix with individual development. Our programmers spent the first 3 months trying to figure out the site - they suffered and patched holes. If we had had the opportunity to talk to the previous developer, we would have solved everything faster.

Bitrix was not the only difficulty in the project
The customer did not put the work with the site among the priority tasks, so we had to wait a long time for approvals. A number of issues were never resolved.
