Step 2
Select the industry whose companies you are interested in contacting. Keep in mind that you can not only receive postal information (name, address) but you can also get digital information (email, website) and phone numbers associated with the company.
To select the industry, you can choose between the IAE (Tax on Economic Activities) or CNAE (National Classification of Economic Activities) classification system . They are similar, but not the same. Let's give a practical example.

A restaurant has the CNAE code 561. This same restaurant has several IAEs depending on its category. Thus, IAE 6715 belongs to one-fork restaurants. On the other hand, IAE 6714 is for two-fork restaurants. IAE 6713 is for three-fork restaurants, 6712 is for two-fork restaurants and finally 6711 is for five-fork restaurants, that is, for super-luxury restaurants.
The CNAE is determined by the company itself when it registers itself, during its constitution. The IAE is determined by the Ministry of Finance for tax purposes .

The short answer is “It depends on your selection criteria.” The long answer is that a CNAE can contain several IAEs, so if you need a very specific selection, it is best to go for the IAE.
