Step 3: Configure your membership plugin
Now, let’s start setting up the MemberPress plugin on your WordPress site.

Once you activate the plugin, it will show you a notification bar directing you to the options page.

Step 4: Add a payment method
Next, you'll need to set up payment gateways for your membership site. To configure payment settings, you'll need to open the Payments tab on the Options page .

You can add and configure one or more payment methods from this section. Additionally, you can choose whether to display payment labels, icons or descriptions.

MemberPress supports PayPal (Standard, Express, and Pro), Authorize.net, and Stripe to accept payments.

Step 5: Create membership levels
The next step is to create membership levels that your users can purchase. Using MemberPress, you can create multiple membership levels, each with a different pricing plan, features, and access. You can even create a free membership plan and use it to collect emails.

To create a membership level, you will need to visit MemberPress » Memberships in your WordPress admin area. Then click the Add New button at the top.

You will then see a page to create a membership as shown in the screenshot below.

Enter a title for your membership plan and then provide your membership plan details in the content editor.
Next, on the right side of the page, you will see the Membership Terms section . Set the price, billing type, access duration, and renewal option.

Next, scroll down to the Subscription Options section below the content editor. This is where you can customize membership permissions and options for this particular membership level.
