Google New York Headquarters

Post by Bappy10 »

Did you think your job was cool because it had a foosball table? Well, we hate to disappoint you, but that's nothing compared to what Google offices around the world have.

While most workers have to settle for spending about eight hours a day in a cubicle (count yourself lucky if you have a snack bar in your office), Google employees are spread out all over the world riding scooters, sliding down slides, playing games, and, of course, gloating about the place where they work.

So take a look at those happy yet productive workspaces and wish you were more computer savvy.

1. New York (United States).
Google’s New York offices look like a fun playground inspired by the city itself, and they take up an entire building. They feature hallways decorated with subway grates and fire hydrants, graffiti on the meeting room doors , and chandeliers made from meat hooks—a nod to the nearby Meatpacking District, known for its many animal slaughterhouses. They also have a meeting room that’s set up in the style of Seinfeld, and Victorian-style Star Wars portraits decorating the library. Plus, the 3,000-plus employees can ride scooters around the nearly 270,000 square-meter building.

Google is also planning a new investment with the purchase of an office building that will open in 2021 and is intended to be the headquarters for its sales and collaboration teams. We will have to wait until then to see how it will be decorated and what services it will offer its employees.

2. Amsterdam (Holland).
Designed by local studio D/DOCK , Google’s Amsterdam office also features designs that draw on qatar number data the cultural history of the place, capturing the visual flavor and playfulness of the city. Roof panels are designed to resemble stroopwafels, the country’s typical caramel cookies. 1960s caravans serve as meeting rooms, complete with lawn chairs and faux grills.

It is designed so that all spaces are adaptable, allowing workers to communicate and work in a diverse space combined with other more personal spaces. It has open spaces and large windows so that natural light comes in. It has a very large restaurant area decorated with reference to the ceramics of the Netherlands.

In addition to the workspaces, the office has a space reserved for employees' leisure and relaxation where there are different games dedicated to this.

3. Dublin (Ireland).
Foosball tables were all well and good for startups in the 1990s, but these days they're nothing compared to a real golf course . Plus, there are real jungles decorating the site, so this may be the most park-like center for the whole family.
