LG Electronics (LG) has signed an agreement with Unity , the world's leading platform for the creation and exploitation of real-time 3D content (RT3D), for the development of meta-homes and avatars or digital humans.

Meta-homes will allow users to create a highly accurate “digital copy” of their personal spaces , such as their own home, thereby allowing them to spend time in a dynamic, virtual version of this space. All LG products installed in a user’s real home will be able to be found within the meta-homes.

In this way, any adjustments the user makes to the settings, features or functions iceland number data of their LG devices within the digital environment will be reflected in the real world, providing an innovative and convenient method of control and a fun and new experience for the customer.

Users will also be able to personalize their digital home by rearranging furniture and appliances, as well as meet with other meta-home users around the world to share tips and personal experiences on using LG’s advanced home services.

In addition, meta-homes will feature avatars , or digital humans capable of sensing when users need help , offering them timely support, for example, if they need help with a specific function of an appliance.

This is made possible by the integration of LG's voice recognition, natural language processing and contextual learning technologies , as well as the sophisticated Unity engine - which is used in various sectors - so that these digital assistants will be able to communicate in a language and in a nearly natural way.

In addition to their conversational skills, virtual make interactions feel more “human” thanks to their realistic facial expressions and gestures, appropriate for each situation.

“Meta-homes with digital humans will leverage LG’s advanced technologies and deep understanding of consumers and the home environment, as well as Unity’s unrivaled capabilities in RT3D and computer graphics, to deliver true innovation in customer experience,” said Dr. Kim Byoung-hoon, chief technical officer (CTO) and executive vice president of LG Electronics.
