Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has revealed what he believes will be the technology that will dominate the future, and surprisingly, it's not the metaverse or Web3. Bill Gates took part in one of the AMA ( Ask Me Anything ) sessions, where Reddit users can ask the billionaire anything.
Reddit users asked Bill Gates curious questions such as what type of cell phone he had and, what has surprised everyone, what he thinks will be the technology that will dominate the future.
“ AI is the biggest ,” Bill Gates said in response to a question about a croatia number data technology that people are underestimating. “I don’t think Web3 was that big or the metaverse alone was revolutionary, but AI is pretty revolutionary.”
He has, however, in the past called artificial intelligence “promising but dangerous.” Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, for example, went so far as to equate AI’s potential impact with that of nuclear weapons in 2019 .
Now, Bill Gates wants to shape AI advances in a positive way so that it can help achieve breakthroughs in healthcare and climate.
Artificial intelligence is the future . It is becoming more and more developed and, now with platforms like ChatGPT , it is revolutionary. Bill Gates said that ChatGPT “gives a glimpse of what is to come. I am impressed by this whole approach and the pace of innovation.”
According to reports picked up by Thestreet , Microsoft is investing $10 billion in technology creator OpenAI , and Gates appears to be a fan of the move.

“I’m pretty impressed with the pace of improvement of these AIs. I think they will have a huge impact. Thinking about it in the context of the Gates Foundation, we want to have tutors who help children learn math and keep their interest. We want medical help for people in Africa who can’t access a doctor. I’m still working with Microsoft, so I’m following this very closely ,” Gates said.
