Site submission services made sense...back in the late 90s/early 00s, when getting your site indexed early meant higher rankings in the search engines.
Now they are completely useless.
Yet, there are still companies that offer [site submission services] at premium prices.
I cannot emphasize this enough...
Stay away from these services!
At the very least, they are a waste of time and resources. At worst, they will get your site penalized and/or deindexed by Google and Bing.
To illustrate this, here is a small list of the services they offer:
Submitting your website to hundreds of search engines. Most of them are completely irrelevant or you can submit them yourself in minutes.
Submitting to hundreds (or thousands) of directories. Most of them are low-quality directories that can actually seriously hurt your rankings and get your site penalized.
Premium packages of backlinks. Most of them are from spammy and irrelevant websites, which in turn can seriously harm your rankings and status in search engines .
These services have become even more dangerous post-Penguin.
Simply put:
It is never a good idea to pay money for these services.
They add no value, are largely useless, and can seriously harm your business.
Do: Check and see if your page has been indexed
A few days after you submit your page to a search engine, check and make sure it has been overseas chinese worldwide database indexed.
An easy way to check is to use this search string...
site:yourdomain.com
...in the search engine's search field.
( Side Note : This same search string works with both Bing and Yahoo!)
For example, if I want to make sure SEOptimer is indexed on Google,.
