Search engine rankings. Google continues unstoppable

Google remains the world's leading search engine on desktop computers, with a global market share of 82% in June 2012, the same as a year ago.
Yahoo, despite being the dominant search engine in the past, remains with a minuscule market share of 7%, although this does increase slightly by half a point compared to May. Bing, despite Microsoft's efforts, continues to fail to take off and remains at a mere 5% market share.

The remaining 5% is shared between Bing and local search engines, with the Chinese search engine Baidu leading the way with 4%.

As regards mobile devices, Google's advantage is even greater with a 91% market share, followed by Yahoo with 5%, Bing with 1% and Baidu which drops to 1%.

In short, Google will continue to focus its efforts on web positioning and online marketing in the web sector for a long time to come.
