Unfortunately, this whole mess in Android policy is due to two things:

The huge number of different hardware configurations means that each new version of Android must be thoroughly tested by each manufacturer before being installed on the relevant devices.
Manufacturers just can't resist putting their own spin on it, so they take the time to ruin the Android experience by layering the aforementioned UI tweaks on top of the otherwise great operating system.
The best you can hope for unless you're on a Pixel phone is china telegram data a few months before the latest version of Android becomes available to download on your device, but even then, you could have a bad time .

Don’t worry, though. Waiting agonizingly for a new version of Android for your smartphone won’t become a habit. And that’s because most Android smartphones don’t get too many major updates. While iPhone users get updates for 5-6 years my 2020 iPhone 12 mini started with iOS 14.1 and has just been updated to the latest version of iOS, version 17.3.1, Android smartphones typically go through two or three major operating system updates before they’re no longer supported with some notable exceptions, like the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
