Artificial Intelligence 2019: Eight Trends

Post by relemedf5w023 »

The holiday season is approaching, and with it the season of predictions about the future of technology. One of the most hotly discussed is artificial intelligence (AI). The potential for AI to be used is very broad, from automating processes in production, participating in the work of admissions committees in educational institutions, to the roles that AI can play in international relations and politics. Another issue is that AI is accompanied by a lot of hype like “Machines are taking over the world” or “Robots will take your job”, so it is quite difficult to understand what it can do and what it cannot do.

Experts interviewed by the Enterprisers Project portal identified eight trends in the development of AI and related technologies (machine learning, deep learning, neural networks).

1. AI will be the driving force behind the next wave of digital transformation
“Most predictions and discussions about AI focus on how japan whatsapp data vehicles and robots will ultimately impact the labor market. This is likely to happen only in the very distant future — society is not yet ready for such drastic institutional shifts. At the moment, the impact of AI is most clearly seen in the area of accelerating digital transformation processes, turning existing business systems into more flexible and intelligent tools,” says Tung Bui, professor and chair of the IT department at the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii.

He even came up with a term to describe this phenomenon: “smartization” and believes that AI will spur its development. The expert believes that smartization will affect aspects of all platforms, from airline and hotel booking systems to web applications, healthcare systems, etc. There are enough examples of successful pilot projects on the market, and their number is growing. According to the scientist, 2019 will be a turning point in this regard. “I believe that we will witness a quiet revolution that will come like an underwater tidal wave,” says Bui. “Vendors will compete with each other, competing in the effectiveness of implementing AI in their business systems.”
