Integrated risk management (IRM) technology is also seeing strong double-digit growth, driven by risks exposed during the global pandemic crisis. “Significant risk areas driving demand in the near future include the emergence of new digital products and services and their use in health and safety, as well as third-party risks such as customer data breaches or supply chain attacks,” said John Wheeler, senior research director at Gartner.

Mark Luke, Zscaler's Chief Information Security Officer for EMEA, explains to algeria whatsapp data Age how the changing paradigm of internet usage has meant that the firewall is no longer up to the task.
A firewall, or network screen, is one of the most well-known elements of cybersecurity technology. Even people far removed from IT have a basic understanding of its purpose, and this is partly due to its popularity in Hollywood movies. When a hacker in a movie needs to penetrate a central computer, he often encounters a firewall, the protection of which he quickly bypasses by furiously typing on the keyboard.
It’s an example of life imitating art, as the first mention of a firewall in the context of cybersecurity actually appeared in the movie WarGames, which was released in 1983. It took nearly a decade for the term to enter the general lexicon of information security professionals. Throughout the 80s and 90s, the technology was promoted by professionals such as Jeff Mogul, Steve Bellovin, Bill Cheswick, Marcus Ranum, and Nir Zuk. By the mid- 90s, connecting companies to the Internet was becoming commonplace, and the threats were becoming more serious. The firewall became an extremely popular and necessary technology for organizations.
