Going beyond the framework of experimentation

The production of the Short, still experimental, is encountering some obstacles in moving to the next stage.

First, WhatsApp. As anyone who has tried it has noticed, using the platform on an industrial scale is not that easy. You have to test, tinker, and hope that one day you'll have a real contact at WhatsApp who can explain to you why some messages aren't reaching their recipients.

" Le Short now has 3,800 subscribers, but we had gambling data pakistan to slow down the recruitment campaigns because WhatsApp was too unstable. This is also the reason why we decided to distribute Le Short on other podcast platforms, in case of a technical problem on the messaging platform," explains the podcast's co-producer.

Then, as is often the case with digital experiments, there are few resources.

Until November 12, Davy Bailly-Basin was alone at the controls. If he was sick or on leave, the Short was simply cancelled. For a few days now, he has had a joker, Joƫlle Cachin .

The budget for this format is limited to the journalist's position and that of a developer to manage sending the podcast at 7 a.m. to the subscriber lists at 5-minute intervals each to avoid bugs.

The Short is intended to become a conversational format. Around 10% of subscribers already dare to send messages via WhatsApp according to Magali Philip.

These are mostly reactions or encouragements. But our ambition is to create a discussion on current events between subscribers and a trusted person. For the moment, Davy does not yet make a call for messages, because we do not yet have the human and technical means to manage them.
