40 SEO Technical Mistakes [2017 Semrush Study]

Conducting a full site audit is a complicated and ongoing process that involves dozens of checkpoints and diverse expertise.

This proves once again that creating and maintaining a website that remains active and productive can be a difficult task for beginners and even, sometimes, for experienced specialists.

There are no perfect websites that do not require any kind of improvement.

There are hundreds, even thousands, of problems that can appear on your website.

So what are the issues you need to focus on first?

To find an answer to this question, we decided to indonesian phone numbers conduct a study on how often SEO errors appear on websites.

We collected anonymous data on 100,000 websites and 450 million pages using SEMrush's Site Audit tool to determine the most common SEO and technical errors and issues.

Last year we conducted the same study but only provided information on about 20 of the most common checks.

This year we decided not to focus solely on common mistakes, but to provide as much information as possible.

Traceability.

Technical SEO.

On-page SEO.

We have also changed our methodology a little and added a new concept to take into account: the level of severity of the problems.

Each issue is assigned a severity level from 1 to 5, where 5 is the most severe.

The severity level of an issue reflects not only the effect of certain errors on rankings, but also their impact on the overall performance and usability of the site.

We added this metric because some errors appear on websites very rarely, but they can have a high level of severity and we don't want you to overlook them.

This data on the frequency and severity of issues will provide you with comprehensive information on specific errors and allow you to assess the risks as well as the worthiness of your efforts during the site audit process.
