Communication Observatory
The Communications Authority (Agicom Italia) published the Communication Observatory report yesterday. Some interesting elements have emerged which we will highlight below.
Online sites
Analyzing the usage data of online platforms, in September 2022, around 44.1 million
unique users spent an average of around 65 hours on the internet. The most visited websites belong to the major international players Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft. Immediately after the main national publishing groups: switzerland rcs data RCS Mediagroup, Gedi, IlMeteo and ItaliaOnLine.
In terms of the audience of general information sites and applications, there were around 40 million unique users in September 2022, an increase of 1.5 million visitors compared to September 2021. The most visited site in September 2022 was "Corriere della Sera", followed by "La Repubblica" with 31 million and "Fanpage" with 26.2 million.
E-commerce
As far as online e-commerce platforms are concerned, Amazon's apps are in first place with 35.2 million unique users (+12.1% compared to September 2021), followed by eBay's apps with 17 million visitors (+0.7%).
Video on demand
In terms of the trend of unique users of platforms that offer video-on-
demand (VOD) services for a fee, there was a decrease of -287 thousand in September 2022 compared to 2021. In total, in September, navigators using VOD were 15,3 million. On average,
