Brevity is the sister of wit

Informal communication
Informal communication is acceptable in work and other chats. Of course, it all depends on the company and corporate culture. Stick to the rules adopted in your organization. Even if employees are allowed to communicate informally, remember the appropriateness of certain addresses, jokes and statements. After all, this is business communication, not correspondence with a girlfriend.

Work chats are designed to simplify communication between employees, so there is no need to complicate it.

For example, don't write a wall of text. Stick list of turkey cell phone numbers to the rule: one message - one idea. Remember that your colleagues will be distracted from their work to read your message, and this pause should not be prolonged.

And secondly, you don’t need to send 1-2 words in several messages. Such “ladders” and incessant notifications are very annoying and extremely inappropriate in work chats.

Also, try to avoid unnecessary epithets, metaphors and other figurative means. It is better to demonstrate eloquence in other places, and in work chats write to the point.

Personal - in PM
If a discussion of a work issue has led to you getting personal, then you should go to private messages. This is especially true for conflicts and other "hot" topics.

Not just a messenger
Firstly, it is quicker to discuss some issues with colleagues in person, if, for example, their office is located behind the wall. Secondly, it is better to send important decisions, contracts and documents by e-mail.

Communication style
Stickers, emoticons, memes and viral phrases are an integral part of online communication. But they are best left for personal correspondence. In a work chat, all this is allowed only with the permission of all participants.

And if you use this style of communication, then do not overuse it, so that funny pictures and stickers do not interfere with work communication.
