(9) Ask for feedback from guests who have stayed before Get in the habit of asking guests who have stayed at your place to provide reviews and feedback regarding their stay experience. I find that most people's way of thinking is quite strange. Do you want to know where the strangeness is that I mean? (maybe this is just my opinion) i. Usually if we ask someone to give an open review, which will be read by everyone, they tend to give a positive review. Maybe deep down, they are worried that if anyone gets to know them, they will see their true nature, which is complaining , causing trouble for people, and being chatty.
ii. If the accommodation experience is less than satisfactory, and we as the rich people database homestay owner have apologized and tried to rectify the situation, then we ask the guest to give a review, the guest will either a. Give positive reviews and only mention the good things. b. If the experience is not good, the guest will complain privately to the host. c. No response to your request iii. If we know that the experience a guest has had is very unsatisfactory, but we do nothing.
We do not apologize, we do not try to contact the guest to provide an explanation (and reason), and we do not ask them to write a review , usually this guest will write a very honest review openly . You won't like reading that review. iv. If we know that a guest is not very satisfied with the service offered, then we argue with the guest without trying to understand the real situation, it is very likely that this guest will write the worst review and it is not strange if he makes up a story.
So he will give a positive or neutral review
