BlaBlaCar carpooling is coming to Google Maps today

BlaBlaCar , the world's largest car-sharing social network, has just announced an agreement with the technology giant Google to make car-sharing trips on the platform appear among the transport options proposed by Google Maps to its users. This collaboration agreement, effective today in 4 countries (Ukraine, Belgium, Poland and Spain), reiterates BlaBlaCar's commitment to bringing car-sharing to all citizens and reinforces Google's strategy to offer its users the most common options for travelling between two points.

After the train, the bus, the car and even the bicycle, the option of travelling by car between cities is finally available on Google Maps . In fact, BlaBlaCar trips are now included among the travel options recommended by Google's map service.

From now on, Google users searching for a route on Maps will be able to see the option of travelling by carpooling, as well as other means of transport recommended by this server. Users interested in taking a trip and carpooling who have the BlaBlaCar app on their smartphone will be redirected directly to the BlaBlaCar results page for the desired route, while those who do not have the app will be redirected to the AppStore or Google Store to obtain it.
