Okay, wait a minute. While Shopify Payments is indeed a pretty versatile payment processor, it turns out that its “accept payments anywhere” concept may not be entirely accurate from a technical france number data standpoint. And here’s the problem. Shopify Payments is only available to merchants in the UK, US, Spain, Singapore, New Zealand, Japan, Ireland, Hong Kong, Canada, and Australia. While it’s great that customers can pay from anywhere, let’s face it – Shopify Payments isn’t even close to being a global payment solution.

. But on the bright side, at least it’s not the only processor on the Shopify platform. While Shopify mostly favors its default card processor, it hasn’t left other options out of the picture. The platform is generous enough to support a wide range of third-party payment processors. Think of any well-known eCommerce payment solution, and you’re bound to find a specialized version of the app that integrates with Shopify.

In total, there are over 100 payment service providers represented here – PayPal, Amazon Pay, Authorize.net, WorldPay, etc. Since there is something for every known territory, you should have no problem choosing the right payment processor. Therefore, if you want to process transactions from your site, you should choose a direct provider. But if you prefer to redirect your customers to a third-party checkout page, then you should choose an external provider.
