Packet data transmission in IP telephony

Post by mehadihasan123456 »

How does packet data transmission work in IP telephony:

Voice conversion: When you speak into a phone microphone or calling app, your voice is converted into digital data. This means that the sound of your voice is converted into a series of zeros and ones (binary code).
Packetization. This digital data is broken down into small pieces called packets. Each packet contains a piece of your speech and information on how to put it back together.
Sending packets. Packets are sent over the Internet. They can china email list take different routes to reach the recipient as quickly as possible.
Packet Routing: Packets may pass through different routers and switches in the network, which direct them to their final destination.
Reception and reassembly: When the packets reach the recipient's device (like your conversation partner's phone), they are reassembled in the correct order and converted back into audible sound.
An example of the use of packet data transmission in digital telephony:

Skype Call: When you make a Skype call, your voice is broken into small packets of data that are sent over the Internet to the other person. These packets may take different routes, but eventually they will all reach the recipient and be put back together in the right order so that the other person can hear your voice.
