Goodbye Modals
Modals were more common in previous versions of SeaTable. For example, the 'Insert Column' and 'Customize Column Type' dialogs were modals where the controls appear in the foreground and the background is hidden. Although they have served us well so far, modals have room for improvement in terms of ease and work efficiency: if the modal opens in the middle of the screen, it prompts the user to move the mouse there. Even more serious is the fact that disabling scrollbars prevents relevant india rcs data information from being displayed behind a modal when a modal covers them. So what did we do? We replaced the modals with non-modal menus that provide all the functionality of their predecessors without their drawbacks.
Simplified menus
The options menu of the single and multiple selection columns is another modal that we have converted into a non-modal menu. But we didn't leave it at that. We also replaced the existing, somewhat cumbersome multi-level menu with a much more comfortable, flat menu. Options can now be created, changed and deleted in one clear window. The number of necessary clicks has been reduced to a minimum.
Simultaneous editing of multiple tables
SeaTable 1.4 introduced a new wizard to make it easier to link entries. This wizard opens with a click on a link cell and then displays all entries in the linked column in a clear window. Another click on an entry creates the link to the entry in the cell. In other words, with the new wizard, linking entries became as easy as selecting a value from a dropdown menu.
